May 25, 1942 – April 22, 2022
Our beloved mother passed away peacefully on Friday, April 22nd, with family by her side.
Born in Croatia (Yugoslavia), Angelina lived in Slovenia and Vienna, before emigrating to Canada when she was 24 years old. She met her husband Donald Murray in Kitchener-Waterloo and they married shortly after in 1970. They made Victoria, BC their home for the past 40 years, while raising their two daughters. Angelina was full of life, a warm personality always smiling and giving hugs. Her loving nature suited her career as an LPN at Luther Court. Everyone who met Mom was touched by her kindness. Her smile and laugh would light up a room. She loved gardening, cooking, and hosting dinner parties for her many dear friends, to whom she referred as her family away from home.
Her five siblings in Slovenia predeceased Angelina. She is survived by her husband Don, her two daughters, Natasha and Patricia (Sarah), granddaughter Tatiana, as well as many loving nieces and nephews. We love you and miss you dearly.
We would like to thank the Summit at Quadra Village for their excellent care and compassion to our Mom in the last two years, especially the Rose house care team. Alzheimer’s did not take away our Mom’s loving nature - she was holding hands, blowing kisses, and smiling until the end.
Her family will host a celebration of her life at a later date TBD. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the
Greater Victoria Eldercare Foundation or
Alzheimer Society of BC
