Obituary for Carolyn June Brooks
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Carolyn Brooks. Born in Winnipeg, MB to Sally and Harry on June 1st, 1966. She passed away unexpectedly and peacefully in her home in Victoria, BC on February 23, 2023 at the age of 56. Carolyn is survived by her sons, Owen and Dustin (Kaija) Griffiths, her brothers Roy and Scott Brooks, her aunt Judy Bleakley, and her three grandchildren, Leo, Aurora, and River.
Carolyn was known as hard working, always picking up work, even when she didn’t need to. She was well-loved by those living her building, describing her as someone who would always go out of her way to talk to others and make a connection. Her grandchildren looked forward to meeting her for lunches and dinners, and she often brought them small gifts as tokens of her affection.
Her children are choosing to honor her wishes of spreading her ashes near their family cabin at Lake of the Woods, Ontario
