Obituary for Clem Bedard

Joseph Roger Clement Bedard, always known as Clem was born in March 1930 and passed away July 21st 2023.

Clem was born in Three Rivers Quebec. He joined the Air Force in 1950 and served until 1955. After his service, he went to work at Defense Research Establishment Valcartier (DREV) in Quebec. He remained there until he transferred to the Defense Research Establishment Pacific (DREP) where he met his forever partner, Midge. He worked as an electronic technician doing a job he loved doing. Clem retired in 1991 and we began to travel, sometimes with family and sometimes just as a twosome. It became a pleasurable passion for us. He was always interested in computers, photography and music and remained active in these areas most of his life.

Clem is survived by his long time partner and best friend Midge; his daughter Karyn (Steve), his son Daryl, his grandchildren Samantha (Cassidy) and Ben (Jemma), and great-grandchildren Grayson and Liam. He is also survived by his stepsons Joe (Cyndi), and Blair (Marnie), grandchildren Nic (Echo), Randy (Shanon), and Ally; and great-grandchildren Aurora, Briar, Olivia, and Hunter; as well as Clem’s sister-in-law Reta (Mike), and their sons Dana and Sean.

Clem was predeceased by his beloved brother Raymond, whose wife Diane remained in Clem’s life; as did her son Carl (Michele), and their children Liam, Jesse and Alicia. Clem is also survived by his nephew Roberto; and many cousins and friends who have enriched our lives over many years.

In lieu of flowers or donations it was Clem’s wish that he be celebrated by his family and friends sharing a glass of delicious wine as often as they like and let’s not forget…Clem had a girlfriend like that once.
