Obituary for Cory Ryan Calder
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Cory Ryan Calder in Victoria, BC on May 31, 2022 at the age of 36 years.
Cory was predeceased by his paternal grandfather in 2012, his younger brother, Matthew in 2017, his Uncle Walter in 2019 and his maternal grandmother, June in 2020.
Survived by his mother, Diane Stefanyk (Wayne), his father, Terry Calder (Elaine), his older brother, Shaun, his Paternal Grandmother, Joyce and his 2 young sons Chase and Jaron. As well as 2 nephews, Aunts and cousins. Special thanks given to Mike for your compassion and care you gave to Cory. You were truly a good friend.
His family will remember him as a kind, caring, humorous and gentle man with a heart of gold.
Cory’s kind and giving soul is now living onwards with other people through organ transplant. Thank you to the BC transplant team for giving Cory dignity and respect. His life is truly eternal.
A private family gathering will be held at Westlawn Funeral Home in Edmonton, Alberta at a later date.
Reunited once again with your little brother Cory. It’s been a tough 5 years for you.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Victoria Salvation Army Addictions and Rehabilitation Centre would be appreciated.
