Obituary for Diane June Basso
Following a spirited battle with cancer, Diane June Basso, of Sooke, BC, passed away on Wednesday, May 18, 2022.
Diane had an excellent work ethic, and was proud of her work career(s) at Montreal Trust, Victoria Airport, DND, her favorite being Church Secretary at Erickson Covenant Church.
Ever an original, Diane liked a dirty joke, stiletto heels, and cold beer. The color red - the bright candy apple hue, dancing to a live country band, and the way a man walked in boots. The sound of children’s laughter made her heart happy, she was obsessed with keeping her long fingernails nicely painted, and when faced with adversity Diane would challenge back, “FU Buckley” and venture forth with a plan. She was a kickass broad from the get go.
Diane will be lovingly remembered by her family and friends.
To every time there is a season. I love you mom. Know joy.
A private service will be held at a later date.
