Obituary for Diane Isobel Purvis (Martin)
It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Diane Purvis of Chemainus BC on May 11, 2023 at the age of 78 years.
Diane died peacefully and surrounded by her family in Duncan, BC. She will be lovingly remembered by her brother Clark Martin; her sister Lorraine Lofranco (Don) of Burlington, Ontario; her nephews Rob and Craig Martin; and her cousin Alison Hobson of Oakville, Ontario.
She was predeceased by her loving partner Walter Harris, her two sons Danny and Jamie Michalek and her parents Richard and Isobel Martin of Toronto, Ontario
At Diane’s request, no service will be held and her ashes will be scattered at sea.
Memorial Donations may be made in her memory to Canadian Cancer Society or Lupus Canada.
The family wishes to send a special thank you to the staff at Ladysmith Home Care, Better at Home and Cowichan District Hospital for their care and compassion. A particular thanks to Dr. Andrea Wilhelm of Duncan. BC.
Diane rest easy and move gently with the ebb and flow of the sea. You will forever be remembered.
