Jeff was a very talented craftsman who loved working with wood, stone, metal and a wide variety of other materials and surrounding himself in nature. He excelled as a cabinet maker, painter, sculptor, builder and luthier. He was very passionate about creating archtop and one-of-a-kind boutique guitars. He was a renaissance man who chose to use his hands to realize his creations. Jeff built everything to a very high standard and perfection was not always enough.

He had a vast array of other skills, gardening, landscaping, designing tools, houses or the next permaculture bed. He had fun juggling, kayaking, hiking, playing guitar, travelling, cooking and loved hosting family gatherings.

A celebration of his life has taken place. There has been a fund set up in his name: Jeff Letain Memorial Award
