It is with a heavy heart that we announce that Jonathan James Bens passed away on April 7, 2023 at age 39, after a lengthy battle with addiction.

Jonathan is survived by his parents Ed Bens (Orle) and Marita Lang (Bob); his brothers Jeremy and Jeffery (Pasha), his adorable little niece Amelia, and a wealth of Cousins, Uncles, and Aunts.

Jonny loved music (alias Jonny Rockit), the outdoors; all season camping, boating, water sports, shooting, biking, exploring and anything he could turn into an adventure. Jonny liked to work hard and play harder, and took great pride in accomplishing things with his hands and in a hard day's work. 

Jonny was an idea guy, with a very creative mind, leaving his unique signature on all his
projects, his own style of art and music; inventing chords that suited the mood. Jonny didn't just write, play and sing his songs; he felt them in his heart and they poured out of his soul.

Jonathan had a charm and charisma that made it so easy for people to love him and be at ease around him. 
Jonathan was very generous, had a big heart and loved good times. He liked most people and would help who he could. Jonathan truly loved and got great pleasure being with his friends.

We miss you Jonny.



A come and go memorial service and lunch will be held for Jonathan on Saturday April 29th 2023 from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon at the:
