Obituary for Philip "Phil" Hird
It is with a heavy heart we share the passing of Phil Hird- beloved husband, father and friend.
After a three year battle with cancer, Phil died the way he lived- on his terms at home surrounded by family. He is survived by his wife Heather, children Elizabeth (Richard), Eric (Jessie) and Chelsea, his grandchildren Liam, Autumn and Ryder as well as family scattered across Canada and England.
"To my wife Heather, I want you to know when the last breath leaves my body your name was upon my lips. I will love you until the end of time...Phil"
Phil hopes that when his family, friends and colleagues think of him it brings a smile to their face (and maybe a laugh too). He had a great ride.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. ln lieu of flowers, Phil has asked that a donation be made to the BC Cancer Society.
