Timothy “Timmy” “Tim” Cooney passed away on October 31st, at the Royal Jubilee Hospital at 70. A ripe old age, as Tim would say.

Tim is predeceased by his Mother Elizabeth “Bubba” (Nee Daoust), Father Melvin “Mel”, siblings Thomas, and Sheila, and his wife Andrea. Survived by his sons Matthew and Ryan, siblings Mary Ellen, Gayle, Ann, Sean, and Dean, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

He was a hard worker, and a passionate man. Tim loved kids and having his boys Matthew and Ryan was his favorite job, he loved watching them enjoy every bit of childhood, and thrived on giving them every experience he could. He had 1000 stories to tell about the fun they had when they were small, his little galoots. Matthew and Ryan’s mother Gale always fondly says, Tim was a hands-on Dad, he loved those boys more than anything.

Tim was straight up, he told it like was, and didn’t apologize for being himself. He loved to make people laugh, had so many “Dad jokes” we all heard one hundred times, but couldn’t help laughing at, every single time. He was generous to a fault to those he loved, and sure knew how to be the life of the party.
